NE 15th Avenue Improvements - Division to NE Everett Street

City of Camas improvements to NE 15^th AVE was awarded June 7, to Clark and Sons Excavating, INC out of Battle Ground, WA for $499,326.53. Construction is expected to start by Friday, June 25, with an estimated completion scheduled for mid-August 2021. For the next two weeks (6-28 to 7-5) Sections of NE 15^th AVE will be closed during day time hours for waterline work with detour routes in effect. The roadway will be reopened each night for usual traffic. Please avoid work area if possible. Reduced Parking will be available at Crown Park during daytime hours outside of contractors work limits.

Shape Northwest Summer Camp: Please drop off and pickup children on NE 17^th Avenue (North end of Crown Park) and meet Shape NW Staff at the Gazebo for daily check in.

Improvements will include-

• Replacing an existing 2 inch waterline with an 8 inch waterline, and installing new 1 inch copper water services to residences.
• Installation of new ADA Curb Ramps and limited sidewalks from Division Street to NE Everett Street
• Reconstruction of NE 15th Ave from Division Street to NE Everett Street, excluding the diagonal parking areas along the north side of 15th that serve Crown Park.
• The parking area will receive an asphalt slurry seal in the future.

Funding for this project comes from the Street Preservation, Water Repair & Replacement, and ADA Budgets.
