Consultation has concluded

Members of the Camas City Council would like to look into fireworks in our City and determine whether or not changes need to be made. With that in mind, we need to hear from you concerning this topic. Please take the quick poll, provide your perspective on the situation, or both!

Currently, Camas allows fireworks on New Year's Eve and the 4th of July.

For a point of reference, the City of Washougal only allows “Safe and sane." This means fireworks that are neither projectile nor explosive—basically anything that doesn’t leave the ground.

For 2021, the Permitted Dates/Times (Purchase and Discharge) in Camas are as follows:

  • CAMAS FIREWORKS SALES/PURCHASE
  • July 2: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • July 3: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • July 4: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • July 5: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Dec. 29: 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Dec 30: 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • Dec 31: 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
  • CAMAS FIREWORKS DISCHARGE
  • July 2: NOT ALLOWED
  • July 3: NOT ALLOWED
  • July 4: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 (Midnight)
  • July 5: NOT ALLOWED
  • Dec 31: 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Respondents have until July 23 to provide their input.
